Technical Track 1: Optical Communications and Networks

Optical Communications and Networks were already observed in the first optical fiber transmission experiments. Initially, polarization effects in an optical fiber were a pure laboratory curiosity. Polarization effects are now a fundamental requirements to understand the signal propagation in modern long haul lighwave communication networks. This tract offers engineers and scientists in universities, research centers and industry to present their work and to share experiences and ideas. It will focus on discussing the Optical Communications and Networks.
